8:00am to 5:00pm – Monday to Friday with 2 x 30 minute breaks per day

Job Requirements


• Hold a CPCS Card slinger/signaller 

• Interpret and extract information on all relevant documentation 

• Good communication skills are required to ensure tasks are carried out safely in accordance with the written safe method of work documents (RAMS – Risk Assessments and Method Statements and lifting plans) produced by the site management. 

• Be able to work as part of a Team 

Main duties


• Have an understanding of the dangers of working in the industry and their responsibilities as a Slinger / Signaller 

• Be able to conform to manufacturers requirements as per technical data, conform to relevant regulations and legislation 

• Prepare and ready the works area of operation. 

• Set up exclusion zone explaining actions required for emergency actions, identifying any overhead hazards 

• Providing clear, correct, and safe directions to plant operators. Communicating unambiguously with drivers and plant operators verbally and by radio and/or industry standard hand signals 

• Understanding risks (e.g., blind spots) and how to manage these effectively 

• Undertake all pre-use checks on all lifting equipment 

• Select appropriate lifting tackle and attach and detach it correctly and safely 

• Identify centres of gravity, establish the weight and dimension of loads and communicate this information to the crane operator 

• Secure various types of load to a lifting hook using the relevant lifting accessory
